Hello

I was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. I had a wonderful childhood, immersed in tropical beauty, warm people, lively music and awesome food. The culture is colorful and rich and I had fond memories growing up there, however, leaving was a heart-breaking decision. My family emigrated to Denver Colorado when I was nine and I still reside here. I loved exploring the outdoors and learning new things, however, the culture in Colorado is so different that I was left in shock! I didn't have friends that looked like me, understood me when I spoke, or heard of any of our foods or music. They have never heard of Puerto Rico or understood that it was U.S. territory. Often I was questioned where I was from and if I was legal. My struggles trying to fit in always felt in vain, so in order to escape and find solace, I turned to art. I have been drawing, painting, and making fantasy worlds since I can remember. I loved imagining a world where troubles were never a thing and focus on the beauty around me. With the skills that I have gained throughout the years, I want to help those communicate worlds that brings them joy and imagination.
